Aspendos was an important ancient city in Pamphylia, in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. It is known for its best-preserved ancient Roman amphitheater, built in the 2nd century AD.
With seating for 15,000, the theater is still used today.
Wonderful to see this place again with your wonderful images. I was here in 2000 with no knowledge of Turkey other than what I read in the history book. I was blown away by the beauties and historic sites of this region. Here are some of my images in film back then.
