The Colosseum could hold, it is estimated, between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators,[5][6] having an average audience of some 65,000 Wikipedia
The Colosseum had assigned seating. Senators had reserved seats while citizens had to get their free ticket (made of stone/wood) at the Colosseum and return it after the event. The ticket had the gate, level and seat number on it. There were separate Arches for different ranks of people and a special arch to carry dead gladiators out.
