The plaque reads:

"To The Memory Of the crew of the SS ARY who perished off the Ardmore Coastline in February 1947"

The captain of this steam ship was Edward Kolk. He was from Tallinn, capital of Eastonia.. He went down with his ship.

The memorial is on the grounds of The Round Tower in Ardmore.
