Monday, Firefighters in West Hartford, CT planted 343 flags, one for each New York City firefighter who died as a result of 9/11. The firefighters at Station No. 4 tried their best to make it to all 343 funerals, after the 9/11 attacks.
Last year the flags were flown on veterans' graves. They were donated by the VFW to honor these firefighters who also gave their lives for others.
The death of Osama bin Laden brought back emotions from 10 years ago and this is how the West Hartford firefighters remembered that the deaths of those firefighters were not in vain.
