West Hartford, CT USA view map

I was in the parking lot behind two apartments in West Hartford and noticed this statue way in the back of the lot. Apparently, the owner of the apartments, some years ago, arrived with a truck with statues to add a little beauty to the site. I did see another statue outside the entrance for two of the apartments. The person we know who lives in one of the apartment buildings knew only the above story and does not know what or who these statues may represent. It added a bit of interest to my day. :)

Best if viewed at original size.

A beautiful statue, and so much moss! It must have been here a long time! Lovely find!

Beautiful statue and interesting story. Maybe someone is buried beneath it!

Very intriguing sight with a bit of a mysterious air to it. This looks like something I would do...place a random statue here and there on my land to add interest and beauty to the landscape.

A fine looking statue that was exposed to the elements for a long time. Great find and well captured. V

I like the smiling through the green moss. My sis says that it reminds her of her home in Costa Rica where everything turns mossy very quickly. ;-)

Excellent find and indeed a good idea for a little bit of art to an otherwise boring apartment complex! Great entry! V.

How intriguing! I think it would be great to have this statue ... a bit of classical grandeur! V
