OLYMPUS PLAN TO PRODUCE SUQARE SENSOR DSLR 18.7 X 18.7 MM ABOUT END OF THIS YEAR ? (NORMAL OLYMPUS SENSOR SIZE IS 17.3 X 13 MM)
SO, I THINK WITHIN 5 YEARS, WE CAN SEE 36 X36 MM SENSOR DSLR IN MARKET ?

this would be the better choice, the qualities of a 6x6 camera (no need to turn the body) coupled witha hughe amount of pixels. Such a chip with 24 mpix would bring hughe results since we are then on a nasty 16 mpix for the 24x36 porrtion and Canon has shown that 16 mpix bring super godd results without too much loss in coulour dynamic. I find Nikon's 12 mpix full size a bit too ol fashionned. Pictures come in quality and rendering quite close to the old D2H picture and thus show some weak detail quality. Sacrificing detail quality for colour dynamic is not a good idea. Canons 1DSmk2 is for me actualy the ultimate in full size rendering and here the new MK3 needs a lot of rework and updating. I do not believe that reducing the pixelsize that much was a good idea. A larger picture is one thing, but not when the quality doesn't follows and In Canon's 1DSmk3 the quality has been sacrificed just for a bigger picture size and the reputation to have a 22 mpix. For me in full sized cameras the 1DSmk2 remains the better choice.
