The Altera chip's great advantage is how easily programmable it is. You can put in every function you need for each specific application. You can also set up every connection you need here. You can even make a flash input two-directional so that it can also be used for the flash output. If you depress the shutter of the D100 for example halfway, then you can see that on the module as well. It works in the other direction, too. If the module sends a signal to the meter, you can see it on the camera. Here is a picture of the module, which is now finished and connected. Settings can be entered on a computer keyboard. The LCD screen displays the results. Many extra knobs and switches are added to provide for additional options in the future. A remote control may be attached via the output plugs
