The total weight of the aluminum is less than 1 kilo. The most weight is in the camera and the flash units. In the front you can see the laser with the detector. The detector is 40mm shifted away from the laser, enough for many good intersecting points. The picture shows the details.
The detector is housed in a small metal box. This is needed to keep out the sunlight. Without the screening, the sunlight is too strong. The wires are tucked into the housing to prevent them from getting in the way during the unit's use. The laser pointers are located in a small PVC housing. This is necessary because the positive pole from the laser is in the casing, which interferes with the negatieve pool in my module ground. The batteries were removed and replaced with a dummy unit with wires, allowing the module to control the lasers. While a photo is being taken, the lasers are switched off so that no red dots appear on the image.
