the lady in the purple headscarf

she caught my eye...
this foreigner in the purple headscarf
she looked so lost in this strange land

(yet strangely, among all these made-up women and make-up artists,I find her most beautiful...just as she was)

did you see that lady after you shot this shot? or was this intentionally composed this way.
i would have moved the camera by another 5 degrees to the right (just my thoughts). :)

Would the scarf be the protection of some hidden beauty that you felt rather than saw?
The exercise of looking at our lifestyle with an outsider eye is enriching, but also very disturbing. Don't play too much, or you will feel to be an outsider ;-)

Is this another of your famous hip shots? Last time I was here using a camera, I was summarily escorted to the main doors and told I could under no circumstances shoot pictures! Good on you .... and I agree, her beauty (and peace) shines above the others.

Excellent capture, Ann. Actually my Muslim women friends--most of whom are scarved--do their fair share of shopping. Got to look cool for the women's gatherings, especially weddings!

makes you wonder what she is thinking as she watches this . . .does she see it as perverse or something she would secretly love to try

Great detail catch in this picture. I wonder about what she thinks of MAC.

I wonder what she's thinking...great shot, Ann.

what a clever shot! obviously she is the main subject but you framed her almost out of the frame, giving the impression that she is out or foreigner but she would like to get in!
VOte!

Yes - the lady in the purple headscarf is your main subject here - it`s so much more to see here though! Great capture Ann!

I have a funny memory about the MAC store :-) A year ago I told April I was going to take Ellie to the MAC (meaning APPLE) store while she shopped. When she went to tlook for us, she went to the MAC (as she understood it) store. She DID NOT find us there and the panic set in :-( She eventually found us exactly where I said we would BE :-)
