What Maisie Knew
by Henry James
This is the story of Maisie, who is the six-year-old child of
a divorced couple. The Court has arranged that she shall live with
each of her parents for alternate six-month periods. This serves
the parents' purpose of spite and they earnestly indoctrinate Maisie
with hateful notions of each other.
