A White Delight
This flower in a neighborhood yard looked so white and pure. I just had to make a picture of it. To me it was a pure delight!

Chocolate Decadence
This window beckoned on my morning walk. Like a siren it kept calling to me. But I resisted the temptation, for sugar and I have an agreement, we don't get along. Still, I bet that delivery guy just brought in a bunch of tasty morsels. Hmm, I wonder if they have latte's? Perhaps just one thing with coffee wouldn't be so bad! Maybe next time!

Nature's Artistry
I never cease to be in awe of the beauty and natural artistry in nature. I can only copy it with my camera. I see such beauty and wisdom everywhere! These two solitary leaves on a moss covered limb called to me as they were bathed in morning sunlight! Such colors are part of the beauty of autumn.

Heron and Fall Colors
This Great Blue Heron in a tree at Alton Baker Park looked great against some fall colors. At least I thought it did. :)

Say, Those Fingers Look Delicious!
This Rhea was looking for handouts as cars passed in the feeding area at Wildlife Safari. It looks like it is thinking that those fingers look good enough to eat!

Belladonna Lily Has Gone!
The Belladonna Lily (Naked Lady) that surprised us the last two years by coming up unexpectedly in our backyard has left us! All that is left is the bare naked stalk. But while she was with us she dazzled us with her matchless beauty. Before she left, she blessed us with six flowers at the top of that long stem. I wasn't able to get a shot of all six but did get this photo of four of the flowers with four buds, a few days before. I look forward to seeing her again next year!

High Key Drift Boat
I tried a high key effect with this photo of a McKenzie River drift boat. It's something a bit different for me, and I like it. :) Hope you do too!

As Big As My Hand!
While visiting the area where I grew up on Big Fall Creek, I came across this track along the water's edge. It was as big as my hand! The track is not that of a big cat, such as cougar, and certainly not that of a dog! I checked with a local outdoorsman who agreed with my suspicion that it is a bear track. I found similar tracks identified as black bear online, such as this one -
http://tinyurl.com/nvp3wcs The impression left depends on the type of soil it is left in. There are lots of black bear in the hills around here, so seeing tracks is not unusual.
The bear likely came down to the water in early morning for a drink. I was there in early morning too! When I saw the track I looked around to make sure I was alone. Fortunately, I was! Still, it felt a bit creepy. :) I remember seeing all kinds of wildlife tracks in the hills here when I was a kid. There were a lot more of them back then.

"Don't Fence Me In!"
When I saw these leaves sticking through this red fence, I was reminded of an old song by that name, written by Cole Porter in 1934. My childhood favorite cowboy, Roy Rogers, sang the song in a movie. Here he is performing it with Dale Evans in a 1945 movie -

I Wish I Could Do That!
I enjoyed watching this fisherman as he fished across the Willamette River. From the way he cast, I concluded that he was an expert at it. I wish I could do that!

Pure Delight (Clematis)
I have been told what this flower is but memory fails me to identify it. The beautiful blue is a pure delight! AH YES, it is a clematis!

Northern Flicker
A Northern Flicker seen at Alton Baker Park. On a dark cloudy day it was a tough capture, but I am happy with it. :)
