Peach of a Pear!
We are seeing the American Wigeons at Delta Ponds now. I love their colors and markings. This pair, highlighted against the dark waters, stand out nicely.

Upside Down!
This office building is at Valley River Shopping Center in Eugene. It sure looks upside down to me! :) My first shot with the Nikon D800

It's Not Always The Car That Gets The Attention
This is a beautiful restored Plymouth from the 1940's (1946-8 most likely). But no matter how beautiful the curves or how gorgeous the paint job, the car doesn't always get the attention. It's understandable.

The Pond at Alton Baker park
On a fall day, the pond in Alton Baker Park looks pretty and colorful.

Backyard Beauty
I saw this backyard on my foggy morning walk and thought that all the muted colors were very painterly. I tried to capture that effect in my photo. There is some intangible that causes me to like the result. Hope you do too!

Holy Mackerel!
While on a walk in Alton baker Park, I was greeted by this dramatic sky. A bit of under exposure helped to made the clouds stand out like they did to my eyes. It was a beautiful sight, a rare cloud formation, to me anyway! I have been informed that this is called a 'mackerel sky' by many.

White Delight
Yes, we have flowers in November. Here is an example I saw on a walk in Alton Baker Park! It's a beauty! (Anemone)

Now Who Could That Be?
It appears as if this Great Egret is studying its own reflection in the water at Delta Ponds. Lots of feathers and other stuff on the water, because of all of the ducks and geese here now.

Wide Spot in the Road
A newly paved road in South Eugene. I liked the way the the light seemed to highlight the wide spot.

Springfield Street Scene
This is a scene along 5th Street in downtown Springfield. Look closely and you will see that it is all a mural, except for the autumn leaves on the sidewalk and part of the street. The mural covers a half block, and even the crows on top of the wall are part of the mural. It's very well done in my estimation!

Where I-5 Crosses The McKenzie River
The I-5 Freeway crosses both the Willamette and MeKenzie Rivers in the Eugene/Springfield area. I have posted photos of the new Whilamut Bridge over the Willamette but haven't done so with the Spores Bridge over the McKenzie. Here it is, with the Coburg Hills on the left and McKenzie View Drive just below them, seen below the bridge. The view is toward the East. I felt the truck added to the colors to draw the eye.

Blue Waters
The early morning sun highlighted the trees along the shoreline of Dexter Lake, while the boater enjoyed a day on the blue waters.
