1939 Plymouth

I remember when the Plymouth was a pretty popular car. I think this one is a 1939 model, as they were given a more modern look in 1940. Whatever the year, the car looks to be in fine condition, with new wheels and tires. Sure glad to see it still in use, rather than sitting neglected and rusting away. My father had a 1948 Plymouth, a very nice car.

Owing to the right and left grill work on the front of the wheel cowlings, I think this may be a 1940 model. As a small kid growing up in the Detroit area, my next door neighbor had one and, it being Detroit and all, we knew our cars before we knew how to eat solid food.

From the lowered profile and the modern tires and wheels, I would say 'this isn't your grandads plym'.!

Nice one, it is nice to see it being used rather than rusting away or scrapped. I learned to drive in a ‘51 Plymouth.
