Doorway to Paradise

What do you think of my doorway to Paradise? Can you tell what it is? I imagined the possibilities in this scene when I first saw it, and hope I conveyed the idea effectively.

What you see is a pop machine with a beautiful scene on the front. It stands along the wall of the arena at the stables where our daughter boards her horses.
To me, it looks like a doorway or opening in the wall so that the scene appears to be beyond it.

I saw something like that up in Forks years ago. I like the idea of having photographs of beautiful scenery. It's much better than looking at the product logo.

You did a great job, Vern. Very fun. I wonder how much it costs to got there? I'd better save my quarters.

I think you did quite a nice job of conveying your idea. It took me a little while to figure out just what I was looking at. Very well captured, Vern!

Love the idea and capture, one small note, you always have a better focus then the soda machine does V

Nicely done, Vern...
When I first viewed the image I really did believe the title, until I took a closer look...

Ha Ha ha! This is a great shot! I think you could have used the "content aware" fill-in tool in CS6 to cover the control buttons and dispenser. But, I like it just the way it is. You have to study it for a second or two to figure out the trick.
Roger Bailey29-Mar-2013 14:14
A neat trick, well spotted.

Cleverly done Vern. Image split into thirds with the humdrum reality of life represented by the bins contrasted with the inviting scene of the vending machine. I like this a lot. ~BV~

You succeeded Vern, very clever.
Steve Thuman29-Mar-2013 05:35
You did a great job making it look like a window looking through to the waterfall!
