The Lowell Covered Bridge crosses what is now Dexter Lake. It is today a visitor attraction and accessible only for walking. Displays are set up inside the bridge. Behind the bridge, in the fog, you will see Lookout Point Dam to the east. To the west is Dexter Dam, which created Dexter Lake. I grew up in this area before the dams were built and Lowell Covered Bridge was the only way across the river.
