Marsh Wren In Fern Ridge Wildlife Area

D3-042811-015

I was able to get a shot of this bird despite all of the bushes. But it wasn't easy. And I am not sure what kind of bird it is. Anyone want to identify it for me? Ok, enough people have told me - it's a Marsh Wren!

Always good to get a shot like this. sorry, can't help with the I.D. perhaps a wren as others have suggested.

I do believe it is in the wren family, Vernm

I'll cast my vote for the wren family too, and for the fact that it's not an adult. Good catch getting it in between the reeds.

Looks like a Marsh Wren. They have a huge voice for such little birds!

Yup, definitely a wren, looks like it could ge a fledgling too with evidence of pin feathers?

I agree that it's in the Wren family. They always have their tail up at full attention.

Nice shot Vern, I have no clue as to what it is though

Way to capture it Vern! Looks so small in those reeds but your D3 and the 300mm lens make up for it! Well done

See the banded tail? It is definitely a Wren. Can't see the back, but my best guess is Marsh Wren.
