10/06/07 - there are two drives through the National Bison Range, one is longer at 21 miles and climbs a nearby ridge. I drove that route last year. This year only the lower route was open, a drive of five or more miles. Didn't get to see the variety of wildlife I saw last year. The bison were corralled and the elk and larger animals stayed in the hills. But I saw enough to make the drive worthwhile, and my little grandson enjoyed it too. :)
