This was located where the University Book Exchange parking lot is today on Cotanche St. I know the date well as I was on a second date with my wife and I was returning her to Greene Dorm at the top of the hill just above the Georgetown shops, when I spotted a fire through the window of the building. I grabbed the camera and ran down the hill and when I reached the from of the Georgetown shops, the front of the building blew out. This was areal test for the city's new "snorkle" fire engine, which proved a valuable tool that night saving the main building. Image scanned from the original negative.
