This gallery is a collection of images comprising primarily of two colors: red and white, dedicated to mark our nation's 41st year of independence.  National Day (9th August) is a time for celebration where Singaporeans come together to rejoice at our achievements as a nation and look forward to a better future.

The Singapore flag consists of two horizontal halves, red above and white below.  Red symbolises universal brotherhood and equality of men; white, purity and virtue.  In the upper left corner, a white crescent moon and five white stars form a circle.  The crescent moon represents a young nation on the rise.  The five stars stand for Singapore's ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.
