Love this candid portrait, Fong. All of us can relate to trying to steady our cameras, especially with a lens as long as that!

Guest 24-Oct-2007 22:13
Great candid, Fong! I've used this technique many times, except I'm usually sitting in the mud! :-( V
Guest 24-Oct-2007 19:24
Well spotted,Fong.I thought the VR lens would not need this extra support in this light but I have used a similar technique and it works very well!

Nice candid shot Fong. Did you ask her where one can buy a similar tripod?
Guest 24-Oct-2007 13:30
When we have something interesting to shoot, sometimes we even forgot about the hungry stomach...Nice candid, LOL too!

Is that Cat? At least she used he knee as a monopod and not someone's head (e.g me as a victim of many! LOl). Looks like a 70-200. My guess also.

great catch, Fong!! vote*
CM Kwan24-Oct-2007 12:40
I think she didn't switch on the "VR". An educational and interesting picture, Fong! V
Nestor Derkach24-Oct-2007 12:33
Very nice capture Fong, we have knees let use them when we have to .
I see she has her tripod mount is on also which helps to steady the big lens.
Looks like a 70-200 2.8 VR in the image,just a guess!
