The "Rule of Thirds"

One of the most popular 'rules' in photography is the Rule Of Thirds.
It is the basis for well balanced and dynamic compositions.
Have I applied this technique here corectly?

Not sure about the rule but the color, with it's graduations is fantastic. Looks like a building I shot last September in the Arab district of Singapore. -Jim

Look like you have applied it correctly here Fong, but then rules are made to broken, aren't they? Cool shot by the way. "V"

I look at the artistic level and you well achieved that , my opinion .
Guest 02-Mar-2012 13:47
Yes, if you turn you image upside down or even sideways :-))
Intuitively, the image works with all the blue dramatic space as backdrop for the graceful lampposts and the double windows -- rules be damned.
borisalex02-Mar-2012 13:42
Multiple thirds in your image! But don´t worry, your images are fantastic anyway! v.
Guest 02-Mar-2012 13:25
cool shot, if it's correct??,Think so, I love to go out of bounds, so you may turn it down too Fong.
Raymond02-Mar-2012 13:05
Of course the rule if 1/3 is a strong principle in photography, but any rule you chose is fantastic Fong. This surely is a stunning composition.
