G-Class Assembly

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is hand assembled by the contract auto maker, MagnaSteyr, in Graz, Austria. Production in Sept 2005 was 23 vehicles per day in an 8 hour shift. That's about 20 minutes per work station - a very long time by current auto assembly standards.
