got the point.
i agree with the crop suggestion. to give my comments: i THINK that the exposure here is a bit problematic (over exposure). generally it is a good photo, gives the feeling of the scene.

This remarkable gallery is gradually turning into an educational site like my own, Tricia. I am so proud of what you aare doing here, taking your viewers into your mind and helping to see as you see, and think as you think. It much the same as I do in my own teaching galleries here, Tricia. I see that Celia Lim, who lives near you in KL and is the "resident photo-analyst" in my own galleries, made this cropping suggestion, which is excellent. It is more than a cosmetic crop. It enhances meaning. The couple are cuddling for the camera --it is an intimate moment. And by cropping it closer, you press the borders in towards them, making it an even more intimate moment.

I prefer your tighter crop too! And it is a real slice of life - "so what" with the "black spot"!

Cecilia,
Thanks for your wonderful feedback. I decided to take your advice and gave the image a `tigher' crop. It sure looks better.
Azlin,
Yes the man's underarm is `obscene' but this shot was at the spur of the moment when I saw them taking a shot of themselves. I didn't notice that `black spot'. LOL

this is sooo sweet captured of two sweet love birds. :) same as usual my huge ~ v ~
Cecilia Lim29-May-2007 11:39
This is a wonderfully warm image about the love this couple shares and the memory of it that this couple wants to make. As the background does not carry much significance in its meaning, I think this image may be more powerful if you could zoom in and crop it tighter, reinforcing their sense of initmacy. It also eliminates the bright green bush on the right, and the door frame that creates an empty box in the corner which I find distracting. I imagine this would give you a cleaner image, with emphasis on the couple's blissful expression, which I find so endearing!
