Every spring, when Cherry Blossoms season came, I would always sit in front of the internet, keeping watch of the Kyoto weather report daily and hoping that I could jump on a plane and be there. The full bloom would diappear in the span of a few days and many a times I could not make it because of work. Why is it such a big deal? Because the experience is simply magic. I treasure it because I know quite well that as a modern person whose life is always preoccupied with work, there is only so much free and private time we can have. I cannot help wondering how many more times in my life I would get to see it and to have the luxury of taking a good afternoon nap under the weeping cherry.
