Views from the Stratosphere Tower, Las Vegas

Views from 1,000 feet above the pavement. Sometimes it's cooler up here. The Big Shot, at 1,081 feet, is the highest thrill ride in the world. Insanity (900 feet) is the third highest, while X-Scream brings up the rear at fourth (866 feet at its lowest dip). Insanity has twice shut down while dangling its riders over the Strip. (2/2007) Security at the base of the tower has become extremely restrictive. Anything more than a simple point & shoot is frowned on or just not permitted on the elevator. Also, the entire north side is now blocked by rides and the south side view is steadily encroached by nearby residence towers.
