Those of us that knew John are well aware of his accomplishments at NASA, now the world can put a face on the person responsible for the shuttle carrier concept.
John Kiker is the grandfather of my son Jeff's wife Marianne. I had the privilege of knowing John and spending time with him on a number of occasions; I sat with him in his living room surrounded by his accomplishments at NASA listening to stories and watching his personal videos. John became a good friend to Sue and I, always taking time out to spend time with us on our early trips to Texas.
