Nyhavn 1st day of Spring

Denmark, Copenhagen

The first warm sunny Spring day (though a few clouds would have made the sky more interesting).

See how busy Nyhavn is compared to my shot from a month ago:

Canon EOS 350D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/250s f/11.0 at 23.0mm iso100 full exif

These are wonderful photos, Flemming. It was a walk down memory lane for me as I looked through them. I visited Copenhagen for only 2 days during a 14 day Scandanavian Cruise on the SS Norway, way back in 1983. But my photos from the trip were misplaced for quite a few years and feared lost. I found them recently and was able to enjoy looking through them. Of course, in only 2 days I was not able to see as much of Copenhagen as you have shown here, but I do recognize a few places when looking at your photos. I especially like the photo you have that is similar to this one that shows the buildings on the other side of the canal with the wonderful lighting at dusk. Copenhagen is really a beautiful city. Viewing your photos makes me want to return.

Ah, Nyhavn. Been there, done it, loved it :) My family is a long line of mariners (my father's side, anyway), so I have a certain sentimentality for places like this. Great shot & great color.

Thought I had seen that location lately, but knew it was a wider view. Great image. I like this exposure.
