I used the TC17EII converter with a couple lenses on the D700.
My lens choice was the 300 f2.8 AF-S and the 70-200 f2.8 AF-S VR lens. Using the 2.8 lenses
the f value is 4.8 with the lenses wide open.
The EXIF is incorrect when using the 300 f2.8 as it shows the combo as 700mm, but correctly reports the f number.
The 70-200 becomes 120-340mm f4.8 while the 300 become effective 510mm f4.8
