On this snapshot I put the D850 in manual mode. In photo shooting
menu set to multiple exposure, 2 photos. I choose to not save all,
only the double exposure-it’s your choice. Get your camera on a
tripod and have it where you can move toward the moon simply by
panning and tilting, after first (sky) photo (best to not move the setup).
Sky exposure- 14mm f2.8 @ f8, camera iso 400, 15 seconds. - Removed 14mm
lens and put on telephoto. Moon exposure- 500mm f4 lens at f11, camera
iso 400, 1/320th. I edited to fill the photo with the moon, cropping
off a bunch of the sky exposure. Be aware that you will need to reset
to multiple exposure if you want to make a few images, by default it
makes only one and resets to single images. .
