West Bengal

These shots are from locations in the northen part of West Bengal, close to the border with Sikkim. Like Sikkim, this area is dominated by the Himalayan foothills, and hill stations such as Kalimpong and Darjeeling are to be found here. As you may guess, tea production is a big part of the economy around this area. There is another gallery with shots from Kolkata, which is in the southern West Bengal.

Looking at your gallery reminded me of my past. The picture of H.M.I was very moving cause I grew up in the Institute. Each and every picture had my memories linked to it. Thank you very much. Every time I miss home I go to your site, it is very comforting.

Pictures are really very beautiful and gives serenity.The place is heaven on earth and you have been successful to portray in your pictures.I have not been to many hill stations but i would love to spend my maximum time there but meanwhile I given peace to my eyes with these beautiful pictures.There can be no place on earth other then a far away hill station to settle down if you want to be close to nature and want to spend a peaceful life.Overall good work.....!!!!!!!!
