That Tokina seems very reminiscent of my old Canon 10-to-whatever...and the pp...coulda sworn I was looking at my MY landies with the 350D(!): I'm reasonably sure those aren't Photomatixed...presumably initial conversion was at low contrast and you just added away in pp?...mind you, if you said you'd done some contrast-masking, I'd be nodding my head.
