College Fjord is located in the northern portion of Prince william Sound. It contains five tidewater glaciers and five large valley glaciers and numerous other smaller glaciers. Most of the glaciers are named after famous East Coast colleges. The large glacier at the end of College Fjord is Harvard Glacier. The prominent tidewater glaciers on the left (north) side are Wellesley, Bryn Mawr, and Smith Glaciers. To the right (south east) of Harvard Glacier is Yale Glacier.
After leaving College Fjord, we continued south along the coast out of Prince William Sound in the Gulf Of Alaska passing mountains clad with snow and glaciers and some sea lion colonies.
