The Great Reno Balloon Race is held every year in September in the city of Reno, Nevada. Balloonists from all over the US bring hundreds of balloons of every shape and color to display, fly and compete in a series of games. The preparations for the race start very early in the morning when it is still dark but this does not prevent that hundreds of spectators show up to see and photograph the fantastically colorful balloons when they are being set up and flying.
