Wonderous aircraft.I flew one in the early '70's.(That is,I was in the ATC,1152Squadron,and whilst on a weeks summer holiday, based at RAF Wattisham,we were taken to USAF Mildenhall, for an arranged flight in a C130K Hercules.Sadly,it was delayed on a flight from Thule,so instead,we were taken aloft by an RAF Argosy. As we got airborne, the undercart was raised;there was an amazing BANG!!!and the whole aircraft shook violently, causing the pilot to announce"Sorry about that chaps.Nothing to concern yourselves about. Its just the undercart's a bit stiff. It had come up 3/4,then rammed shut the remainder of the distance."Never did get the flight on a Hercules.

I used to live near RAE Bedford (Thurliegh) and often saw this fly over my house - nice shot!
