I don't understand???? you have a top gallery on the front of PBase, but we can't view your gallery... how can that be?? And why???

Super great site!!! May I borrow a moment of your valuable time and pottery knowledge? I have been seeking in vain to identify the maker of a vase purchased in 1949 in the USA. The vase is marked P.V. within a circle, Italy, 1015. Any info or suggestions are appreciated! Robert (USA)

I like your writing and the galleries on Venice. I too agree that most of the time what the tourists bring back are the same identical images. It is nice to see Venice through someone's eyes who has been living there.

You have lovely photographs. Very insightful, natural and real. Your visions of Venice are compelling.

I disagree with you about William Bates...I like what he does, too. He just expresses himself in a different manner and it is evident he loves his wife very much...although, sometimes I do think he puts her in a rather submissive light!

Regardless, Venice is a long way away from Bates' Utah. Different values, different perspectives. Thank you.

Interesting galleries, thanks for posting – I learned from my visit.

I note you view on tourists’ pictures but have some sympathy as they’re often pressed for time (=money) to absorb the atmosphere of fabulous locations like your own. Many can afford a single visit only. Then they must take the light as they find it and cannot return to get crisp, well exposed images. I don’t think everything about postcards is bad.

Of course my camera is a tool to express emotions and sometimes it will express sadness as well. But isn't it all in the eye of the viewer?
I am not a reporter who has to take a picture from some event, I take a picture from what gives me emotions.
Maybe it is a good idea to start a gallery with "Happy Pics" I think I do have many of those as well:)
Keep on the work I hope to see more of your pics.
Maybe my pics are not this sad but more melancholic.....
