We spotted quite a bit of wildlife, though many could not be photgraphed well with this zoom (5.6/120) lense. The deer like Huemul is Chile's national animal and is very rare. While guanacos are abundant, very few restaurants offer it as a choice of game meat. They are protected inside of the park. The pink Chilean flamingos are extremely beautiful and shy birds. They are best viewed through high powered binoculars. We attempted to walk around the lake to get closer to them, yet the entire team maintained the same distance all around and eventually decided to take off to go to another location.
