Lago Nahuel Huapi

Baricloche sits on the edge of Lago Nahuel Huapi (or Lake of Tiger Island in Mapuche language), a very large lake in the Lake Region of Argentina. Nahuel Huapi is also the name of the large park in which encompasses the entire lake, along with several others. We went on a chairlift to have a good view of the area and stopped briefly at Hotel Llao Llao (pronounced Zhaou Zhaou), a master work of architect Alejandro Bustillo. Along the lake are 31 miles of dusty roads with many lodges, shops and restaurants.
