Postojna Caves

The Karst formation is the 2nd largest cave system in the world. An electric train took us through a complex of illuminated caverns where we saw up close the beauty of the stalagmites and stalactites transformed by nature over millions of years into a delicate lacework.

During our visit, a group of NATO Italian troops were vacationing there, taking photos with their cell phones.
