Once part of Yugoslavia, Slovenia is a surprisingly charming destination in Central Europe. It is half the size of Switzerland, some joked that it is too small to have its own soccer field, with one gate in Italy and another in Croatia; too small to have an airport as an airplane can not turn around. The endless rolling hills look as if it is an extension of Austria. People are friendly and young people learned English from watching subtitled American movies.
