On the 4-day hike and 3-night camping trail, we were spoiled with the most amazing food. Food were freshly made for each meal. Every morning we were waken up with a cup of tea or coffee of our choice; breakfast included cereal, milk, juice and freshly toasted bread, omelet; lunch usually was buffet style; and upon arrival at the next camp ground for the evening, we had happy hour at 5:30pm, followed by a round of card playing while the chefs prepared for dinner; When dinner came, which included soup, salad, main dish and dessert, our waiter, in white gloves, would shuttle dishes between kitchen and our dining tent. The menu was designed by owner, guide Piero, focusing on nutrition, energy, variety, freshness and portability.

On the last night of camping, it was the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, when Chinese usually get together with family and friends, sharing moon cakes, observing the full moon, and enjoying the family reunion. What a special occasion it was for us to celebrate this special day with close friends, by the historical site of Phuyupatamarca, on the mountain top above cloud forest, sharing travel stories and customized cakes made just for us!
