The Netherlands, or 'low country' in Dutch, has one third of its area lying several meters below sea level. By contrast, Tibet is nicknamed the "roof of the world", and averages over four thousand meters high in elevation. This year, I had the pleasure traveling to both places, as well as Denmark and Belgium.
With the lingering memory of handmade Dutch cheese, fresh Danish pastries, homemade Belgian chocolates, and Tibetan yak butter tea, I invite you along through the images of 2004 calendar to relive some of my fondest moments visiting these amazing places. This assembly is purposely designed to be low on world-renowned sites, but high on ambience. I believe beauty can be found anywhere among our different cultures, histories, and religions.
