Trip to the Rockies 2010

We came west to see our son, and to get out of Toronto while the G20 fiasco unravelled. We landed in Calgary, then had a day in Banff and then went on to Lake Louise for 3 days. I wanted to walk the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, which I did. Then we went south through Radium Hot Springs to Nelson, and then north again north through Naksup to Vernon and Kelowna. I wanted to walk the Myra Canyon Trail on the old Kettle Valley Railroad track bed, which after some difficulty getting to the head of the trail, proved well worth it. After 3 days in Kelowna we went north through Salmon Arm to get to the Trans Canada, and so back to Lake Louise via Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse Pass.

I have always wanted to go to this area of Canada. After seeing this gallery now I really want to go! Maybe next September.
