Most taken in Myakka State Park, Florida. Plenty of alligators to see and cheap to get into. Well worth the tiny entrance fee. Added some more from Sarasota Jungle Gardens and around places near Sarasota

I have eaten alligator. It is a little slimy, but nothing special.
I would not choose it over other meats.
