Pictures of Chairman Mao was a soccer/football/futbol fanzine that was produced by and for supporters of the New England Revolution (Major League Soccer, USA) over five years from 1996 - 2000. Below is an extensive, if not complete collection of front covers produced through these years, concluding with the August 2000 issue. The Revolutionary "Gang of Four" editorial staff (Guy Keely, Tom Hill, Eric Spurlock, and Constantine "Red" Foley) ceased publication at this point, a result of problems stemming from a run in with club officials and local police late in the 1999 MLS season, as well as an inability to seel the fanzine in the one place where it would be of greatest interest to New England Revolution supporters: Foxboro Stadium.
