...we had to be in Vancouver to attend a wedding...so the "better half" offered a holiday to round off what would have been only a weekend trip and when it was suggested that we should ramble around the Rockies and make it back to Juneau and Glacier Bay which we had visited before ages ago, yours truly was all for it! We did a back to back arrangement with a rail trip in style from Vancouver to Jasper, on to Banff and back; then we took off on a cruise with stop-offs at Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and a sail around in Glacier Bay...great views..some rugged and savage, some calm and peaceful, craggy peaks, cascades and rapids, towering icewalls, glaciers tailing into the sea...all awesome and a trip that we enjoyed immensely...and here are some pics to share with whoever may be visiting this page...
