This gallery shows some samples of my paintings.
I paint using Acrylics (on paper and on canvas), sometimes using water color or a painting application (mostly Painter 7, but also XaraX and Adobe Illustrator).
One remark: when painting digital, I do not use cloning functions.
Some people regard this as "painting". I regard it as "cloning".
When I paint digital, I just paint using a different medium.
OK, just my 2 cent...:-)
By the way, compared to analog painting, even the best painting application stinks. It's just not the same as the real thing.
After I started photographing for real, I nevertheless often returned to painting, as I still like painting very much.
However, I found that I had never used light to its fullest.
Light is simply wonderful, from the most glaring rays of sunlight to the most subtle colorful reflection filling shadows and giving depth to objects - light is almost everything in a painting (given the composition is there).
Where the composition is the heart of the painting, light is its soul.
Without proper lighting, a painting can never rock!
