This wonderful, sad album is a lasting testament to a very courageous man. Carl must be very sadly missed by his family and friends.

I would have thought that after having watched my mother, grandfather, two aunts and an uncle die of cancer that viewing this series of photographs would have been easy but I was so wrong. They brought back so many vivid memories of the pain and suffering that my dearest relatives endured and I know of the helplessness that Carl's family and friends most surely felt as they watched him over the years.
Carl Zimmerman is a brave and courageous man and while his all too early passing from this earth is tragic, I hope that his photo journal on PBase can help increase donations to cancer research so that others may overcome this dread disease.
