A 3-week journey through China in the hard of winter with my good friend Thijs.
We started in Beijing to acclimatize a bit and see the major sites. Next was Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, further west than the better known city of Xi'an. From Lanzhou, we traveled by local busses to the towns of Xiahe and Langmusi and continued all the way to Chengdu to see the pandas. We continued by train and bus to get to the know town of Lijiang and do a trek at Tiger Leaping Gorge. Next was Guilin and Yangshou, further south. The last stop was the Ice & Snow festival in Harbin, all the way north of China.
