Note creamy yellow lines near eye and whitish yellow lines under the green patch. This fieldmark is more evident in Eurasian Green-winged Teal, where it extends on the top and bottom of the green ear pactch. The white horizontal scapular bar is the inner web of the scapular feathers. The horizontal scapular bar is actually cream-colored on this hybrid. In the pure Eurasian subspecies, crecca, the horizontal scapular bar is supposed to appear as white not a yellowish cream color as in this bird. I can not find much literature to back this field mark up but the hybrid's horizontal lines seem creamy in all photographs that I've seen in literaure. The underlying black bar is known to be the black outer web of the scapular feathers.
A faint vertical shoulder bar is evident in this photograph.
