Bald Eagles at Lake Texoma (Fall 2004 and Winter 2005)

Always heard there were Bald Eagles at Lake Texoma. They use the area as a winter refuge, I took a walk a short distance from my place at the lake and spent about an hour on a very windy and cold day. It wasnt two minutes and I spotted the first eagle. There were at least two adults and I believe one juvenile eagle. All of the eagles flew together, but were spread out. The rode the wind current along the steep edge of the lake, once they rode downwind, they would go back up wind and ride down again and again. Hardly ever did I see them flap their wings, only making slight adjustments to maximize lift, all the while staring down at the lake looking for fish. I wish I had seen them go for their prey, maybe next time!
